Our story
From the forest to a bottle of exquisite extra virgin olive oil
Our passion for olive-growing was fired by a vision of our grandfather Ivan Paulišić and the hard work he did at our farm in Labinci near Poreč. Ivan revived his father’s hundred-year-old olive grove and set an example for his children about cherishing the fruitful land.
In the beginning, we produced a small quantity of oil for our family and would sell only at request. But this changed in 2000, when our father Dario decided to found a family farm for the production and sale of olive oil. Our dad cleared the forest, started planting new olive trees, and introduced a modern irrigation system. The cultivated land area grew year by year, and today we take great pride in our collection of over 50 olive varieties from all over Europe.

Our story goes on and the experience is passed to the new generation. Ivana runs our family farm with extensive support of her father and sister Ines, and we hope that the youngest sister Samanta will follow in their footsteps.
In addition to olive growing and producing oil, we find the most joy in welcoming the visitors who wish to taste fine oil, learn more about the difference between varieties and find the ideal oil to complement their favourite meal.
We are looking forward to having you here and introducing you to the fascinating world of Oliveri olive oils.

HOW TO FIND US
The Oliveri family farm is situated on the west coast of Istria, in the small municipality of Kaštelir-Labinci near the tourist town of Poreč. It is surrounded by emerald vineyards and olive groves on the fertile red soil.
OLIVE GROVE LOCATION
Our olive groves are within an easy reach of our family farm in Labinci, stretching across 7 ha of land at the altitude of 150 m, facing south-west.
OLIVE GROVE SOIL
Our olive trees grow on the typical Istrian red soil (terra rossa in Italian), on the skeletal terrain with an excellent drainage system. The entire surface area is equipped with state-of-the-art irrigation system that protects olives from droughts occurring in August and September. We apply intensive, organic growth techniques.
OLIVE VARIETIES AT OUR GROVE
We currently own about 2,000 olive trees of local and imported varieties. Istria’s native varieties of Istrian bjelica, Busa, Poreč Rosignola, Carbonaca and Piranska krivulja are most represented, while of the imported varieties there are Italian Leccino, Maurino, Pendolino and Coratina.
The remainder of the grove boasts olive trees we have collected from all around the world, including the traditional Dalmatian varieties such as Oblica, Italian varieties such as Itrana, Ascolana and Carolea, and less known Spanish varieties such as Arbequina and Arbosana.
